GSE Burnt swollen lips

Hi

I could free a coldsore about to pop up so I remembered the GSE could be used to kill it. It said to put one drop on it, which I did.

It felt slightly stingy but I thought this was just it working away. Later that evening I was going to bed and decided to put one another drop, this I think is where my problem began.

In the middle of the night I woke up and my lips were burning but I just ignored it as I was too sleepy to understand what was going on. I later woke again as my lips felt like they were going to burst. I went to the bathroom and my lips had swollen on one side. I reckon while i was sleeping the GSE moved onto the lower lip too. I put some aloe vera gel from the plant onto my lips. this slightly eased the burning and I was able to go back asleep.

My lips are still very swollen and red and very sore. They feel like they could burst! Also the insides of my lips feel very strange too like it seeped inside my mouth too!!

Can you suggest anything to ease my lips!!!

Any suggestions greatly appreciated

Hi Michelle

Still pretty sore, im putting ice cubes on it to take down the swelling. I also got some Rhus Tox in my local health food store. they reckon they should help!

I really just hope the swelling goes down for work tomorrow or they will think i went and got some botox that went very wrong!!!

Thanks
Wow, GSE is strong stuff. Hope it goes down soon.

My husband has really good results using coconut oil when he gets a cold sore. It heals it in half the time his prescription med. would. The fresher the bottle of oil the better it works.

Good luck!
Sure is strong stuff. Im now starting to think the GSE actually did its job. The coldsore never broke out past the three small thingling spots that tell you a coldsore is coming. So the swollen lip might just have been from the coldsore. The GSE did burn it and the lip below and a bit on the inside of my mouth. But since there was such a swelling I reckon that If I had not put the GSE on it would have been a whooper! Next time ill make sure though that the drop dries in before sleeping to prevent it from sliding onto my other lip!

Thanks Tinker, I used the caproyl last time so I guess thats kinda the same, i thought it helped too. I'm fresh out though, but the swelling seems to be going down now. Maybe the Rhus Tox is helping. Off to bed now, hopefully wake up not looking like I was in the ring with Mike Tyson!

Thanks
Twigly
I got another coldsore yesterday, not sure why Im getting so many at the minute, but I put the GSE on it straight away. I made sure it did on the coldsore and didn't run down my face. I also took 2 Rhus Tox 3c every couple of hours. I can confirm that there is no sign of a coldsore on my face today Smile Also no burning or swelling this time either!
Hi there,

Glad to hear this worked! I'm hearing more and more of facial Herpes conditions. Lots of us are exposed to radiation from wireless radio frequencies in our lives. Common exposures come from cordless phones, cell phones, wireless enabled laptops and internet routers. The more exposure we get, the more our bodies are likely to start reacting. There are otehr pre-disposing factors for the Herpes virus too. Check out a web list of high arginine foods (aggravators) versus high lysine foods (recommended.) Adequate water and overall balanced protein are important for prevention as well.

Cheers,

Tarilee

GSE Grapefruit Seed Extract burn : Call Poison Control if pain intense enough to cause whole body reaction. I feel it is my duty to report my GSE NIGHTMARE. Shame on GSE for not posting a big caution on bottle! After applying to skin, was up all night in torment, no exaggeration. SEVERE burning pain. It was torture. Water, soap, no relief. Called Poison Control, got good advice, did not stop agony but made it bearable until effect of GSE wore off: Find any food or body oil, vegetable or mineral, cooking oil, butter, bacon grease, fish oil or vit e, any oil but NOT HOT, no pepper or garlic (AND NOT motor oil, ok? ok. thats best I can protect against mistakes, just find neutral oil), apply and massage well into GSE burn area. This oil will mix/bond with the GSE, which is oily based. Make sure new oil is rubbed in well, let sit a few minutes. Now - wash area thoroughly with lots of soap, and rinse well with water. The new oil will carry away some of the GSE, just enough so you aren't in agony. Then wait, it takes about 12 hours for the GSE to calm down. This is so urgent, it is the first time I have ever posted a rescue message like this. If I had found this it would have spared me real agony!

Hi there Neal,

This sounds like a very unpleasant experience. I'm sorry to hear this happened to you. I don't know what part of your body you used it on but it is indeed a powerful product. Here is a quote from the very responsible producers of Nutribiotic GSE, an excellent quality product. If you had used this brand, hopefully the instructions could have spared you.

"Adults, mix 10 drops of NutriBiotic GSE Liquid Concentrate into a glass of water or juice (5 oz. or more) and drink, 1-3 times daily, with or without meals. For children 5 years of age and older, mix 3 drops into a glass of water or juice, 1-2 times daily, with or without meals. Or, use as directed by your healthcare professional. Do not use full strength in mouth.

WARNING: KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. ALWAYS DILUTE! DO NOT USE FULL STRENGTH. DO NOT PUT IN EYES. AVOID ALL CONTACT WITH SENSITIVE AREAS. IF FULL STRENGTH CONTACT OR IRRITATION OCCURS, FLUSH WITH WATER FOR AT LEAST 10 MINUTES. IRRITATION IS TEMPORARY AND MAY LAST UP TO 48 HOURS."
