We wont be able to take any fruits or vegetables there with us but I will be able to get cabbage once in a while. Besides that I pretty much have to eat the rice and beans because my doctor is calling my condition a yeast sensitivity not candida (even tho I'm 100% sure its candida) and is allowing rice and most beans in my food list. I will look into the coconut flour and if I can bring it. Thanks for the advice!

Hi Kriss, If you are free of cell towers and mostly free of electricity where you will be and if you have clean water, and can stay free of insect born diseases and the drugs you need to deal with them, you might be surprised how much you can heal in a natural environment. It sure would be good to avoid sugar though and perhaps the dried foods you'll have will be sweet? Do you have camping stores that sell dehydrated foods? Will you be with people who know how to wild forage and hunt in the...

We will be storing our most of our food in "the arc" - the place we will be using as a base camp. The powders should be fine, the bars may will prob only last 2 months. We will get most of our food in Nicaragua but much of my food will be taken with us from the states. Beans and rice are the big ones, we're not really doing much in the way of dry food because-like you said- its too humid to last that long. No camp stores, we'll be in a developing country and will have to travel into Port to...

Hi there NN, Welcome to the Whole Approach Candida Recovery Forum. I'm the moderator and am a health coach/nutritionist. You're in luck today! Hopefully others will benefit from this post as well since it is a 'deluxe' reply. I only post for a short time twice a week and it's rare I have enough time to insert so many helpful links. Hi there, Welcome to Whole Approach! Your history seems to describe increasing levels of sensitivity and issues with digestive, immune systems and your nervous system. This is a general observation and not meant to be any kind of diagnosis. Reducing candida and other pathogens in your system, boosting your nutritional health, detoxifying (including colon cleansing), and supporting your immune system will help you feel a lot better. With complex health stress, it is difficult to know what, if...

A rare level of diagnostic care? Possibly. My Allergist was able to take my call today (huge shock!) as I was asking to go to a once daily dose of Diflucan versus staying on the weekly. But he does seem to think that all of the things I am experiencing can be related to Candidasis and/or die-off from it. My blood pressure has been extremely high on and off for a while apparently, and I mentioned it to him that I had to take one of my lisinopril because it was so high I was scared. But then I...

Hi again SS, It sounds like you have an extraordinarily aware MD. In Canada you'd have to pay a fortune for access to someone like that. And so many people have limited US coverage, I'm very glad to hear of the help you have right now. The alternative coloured font in my post to you above indicates links to other posts online. Thank you, Tarilee. I feel very blessed to have found my current Allergist. I am getting better every day - except due to yesterday's treat of an ice-cream like banana and strawberry coconut milk, almond milk mixture with sugar I am doing great! That set me back a lot it seems. I becomes anxious, irritable, joint aching in my ankles and toes, upper body rashes all over, sinus problems, bathroom problems, etc. So I definitely am now avoiding all sugary/carby substances. As long as you feel well when you eat them, they could provide a very nice, 'rounding' to the sweetening power of the recommended sweeteners. Lucuma is sweeter than Mesquite but is still quite low in the sugars of concern. Tarilee

Okay, so looking back, that post was a little too long... I think it would be easier.to just post my questions: 1. What macronutrients are recommended? Percentage of carb, fat, protein. 2. How many calories, carbs and sugar is recommended? 3. Will this diet help with weight loss even though I have already been eating healthy (stalled)? 4. How long will it take to see symptoms improved? Constipation, circulation, allergies, fatigue, bloating, digestion of fats, hypoglycemia... 5. Does the...

Hi Louise, Maintaining Weight The food therapy protocol will suit a majority of people but some people may experience weight loss, which may not always be desired. This food therapy program is free of the refined carbohydrates and high glycemic foods, which feed fungus and yeast and limit immune function. Recent science is also showing us that sugars and starches have an inflammatory impact in general.. Some people may require more starch than others to maintain their ideal weight,...

Hi Louise, I'm not actually an expert on women's health. If the MD was not able to diagnose a bacterial, viral or yeast issue, then perhaps it could be a slight pH issue? Is it worse at certain times of month? If you were too alkaline, contact with semen would make it worse. If you use any kind of soap that is not the same pH as your fluids, it could also be irritating. Certain laundry products (detergent/soap or dryer products) can also irritate. Rinsing with a small amount of organic cider...

Buy them from high turn around sources that keep them refrigerated. Keep them in a jar in your fridge if you will store them for long.

If cost is not an issue and you want a high calorie, low starch 'flour", you can use a blend of ground almond, sprouted chia seed powder (equal parts) to bake with. Sprouted powders ares not essential but do improve digestion further. You can also make 'fat bombs' from ketogenic diet websites if they are savoury or use pure, good tasting stevia . Tarilee

Candida diet for teenagers

Hi! I'm probably the one teenager on this site, but I joined because I hope to get the advice of a community like this that's going through the same thing I am. I decided to just go ahead and start on the 26th because I wanted to get used to it before winter break ends. I...
